Gio-Goi was created in 1988 by brothers Anthony and Christopher Donnelly. The brand really took off in the 90's when the Donnelly's decided to start selling their clothing line in Manchester nightclubs. From then on Gio-Goi was heavily linked with the music scene, most specifically indie rock with bands such as Oasis, Blur and Happy Mondays beginning to wear the brands clothing. The brand fell in the late 90's but was resureccted by the brothers in the mid 2000's and was being worn and promoted by the likes of Pete Doherty, Kate Moss, Liam Gallagher, the Arctic Monkeys and Amy Winehouse which pushed their designs further in the limelight. They produce unique designs for both men and women that symolises youth culture.
