Selling on Amazon UK can put a product in front of a large marketplace audience, but it does not guarantee a profit. Start by checking whether you may sell the product, what evidence you need for a branded item, and the full cost of getting each unit to the customer.<\/p>\n

How to start selling on Amazon UK<\/h2>\n

  1. Choose a product you can describe accurately.<\/strong> Check condition, packaging, size, quantity and any faults. A mixed or customer-return lot may need more inspection than a uniform new-stock lot.<\/li>\n
  2. Check category and brand eligibility before buying.<\/strong> Some products need approval or supporting documents. Do not assume that buying a branded item automatically lets you list it on Amazon. Keep supplier invoices and product information.<\/li>\n
  3. Research demand and the competing offer.<\/strong> Look at comparable current listings, price, reviews, delivery promises and whether the product already has an Amazon catalogue page.<\/li>\n
  4. Choose a selling plan and fulfilment method.<\/strong> Compare Amazon’s current UK pricing and fee guide<\/a>. Fees depend on the plan, category and fulfilment method.<\/li>\n
  5. Calculate the net margin.<\/strong> Include stock cost, Amazon referral and fulfilment fees, shipping into storage if applicable, packaging, returns, storage, VAT treatment and your time. Amazon’s pricing page links to a revenue calculator for comparing options.<\/li>\n

    What is FBA?<\/h2>\n

    Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) means you send eligible inventory to Amazon and it handles storage, picking, packing and delivery for those orders. It can save time, but there are fulfilment and potentially storage or other fees. With seller-fulfilled orders, you manage dispatch yourself. Compare both methods for the actual item rather than assuming FBA is automatically the best choice.<\/p>\n

    Can wholesale clearance stock work on Amazon?<\/h2>\n

    Some lots may suit Amazon; others may be better for eBay, a local marketplace or your own website. Consistent, well-documented stock is easier to assess. For branded goods, condition and documentation matter especially. Review the exact lot and Amazon’s current listing requirements before buying specifically for that channel.<\/p>\n
