You may recall that back in December we asked you to vote for us in The Wholesale Forums Web Awards 2014, see the original blog post here . Well nominations ended on 7th December and voting continued until 4th January.

Now I’ve paid my dues, time after time, I’ve done my sentence but committed no crime. And bad mistakes – yeah – I’ve made a few to be sure … I’ve had my share of sand kicked in my face over the years, but I have been going to the gym more regularly honest … and my wife thinks I’m a hunk …

As you can imagine here at Wholesale Clearance UK we were waiting with baited breath, pounding hearts and sweaty palms for the results.

And we came through!

Yes!! We are the champions, my friends, and we’ll keep on fighting ’til the end. Did I mention that –

I’m trying to be modest. I’m trying very hard. But it is difficult when you’ve won in three categories. THREE! In the end we were totally thrilled because we won for:

Best User Experience
Social Media Buzz
Best Website 2014

Now that’s impressive isn’t it?

So I want to say to the awesome The Wholesale Forums – a massive thank you from everyone here at Wholesale Clearance UK. I’ve taken my bows, and my curtain calls, but you – Wholesale Forums – brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it, I thank you all!

The Wholesale Forums ran the competition to celebrate ten years of them being in the business, and particularly to show appreciation for the businesses that have been growing up alongside them. Well, we should show our appreciation too for the sterling work that they do for ecommerce start-ups everywhere. Thank you The Wholesale Forums from the bottom of our hearts.

So we’ve had the gauntlet laid down now, haven’t we? We have to get going to win the 2015 awards too. With your support dear readers, we can do it! We’ll be bellowing We are The Champions! this time next year too! Mind you, it’ll be no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise. I consider it a challenge before the whole human race but I ain’t gonna lose.

So what did we win?

We won some really generous prizes. A swanky winner’s banner for the website, gift checks, a section in The Wholesale Forums monthly newsletter and promotion of our website. These are all really invaluable to us, as much as they would be to any business and we are extremely grateful.

So has my head exploded? Pretty much. Getting into the bathroom is becoming a problem and my wife has ordered a superking size bed with additional pillows. I need to sell a few more pallets of Colony Candles to pay the credit card bill!

Joking aside, we couldn’t have achieved this success without your support at all. If you take a look at the lovely graphic images here, you’ll see that your support was vital to how well we did.
